Skilla ry unites highly educated experts in business, administration, and office work and across professional and industry boundaries. Our members work e.g. in assistant positions that require solid expertise, as management assistants or secretaries, and as business support specialists as well as in expert and managerial roles in business support services.
The majority of our members are BBAs who graduated from Haaga-Helia’s Business Service Solutions and Languages programme (formerly the Modern Languages and Business Studies for Management Assistants programme) and HSO secretaries who graduated from Helsingin Sihteeriopisto. In addition, our members include people with a vocational qualification in business (merkonomi & ylioppilasmerkonomi). We also accept members with other educational backgrounds who work in admin and business support services.
We consist of 2,500 members who represent more than 300 different job titles. Most of our members work in the private sector, but we also have members who work for the state, various municipalities, NGOs and foundations. We are a tight-knit community, and networking and sharing expertise are a natural part of our activities.
Since the beginning of 2024, the members of the former Business Administration Union (Liiketalouden Liitto LTA) have been part of Skilla.
Through Skilla, our members belong to Akava Special Branches.
