Membership Fees

The membership fee is paid once a month and ensures the validity of the insurance, unemployment insurance and other member benefits that are part of the membership.

Honorary members and those performing conscription or civilian service are exempt from the membership fee.

Employed or on unemployment benefits

Membership fee: 34 €/month

You will pay this membership fee if you are:

in paid employment
With the benefit of the OTE fund or other unemployment fund

Membership of the Unemployment Fund does not increase the price of the membership fee. The fee is the same for those who belong to the treasury and those who do not belong to the treasury.

Part-time employee

Membership fee: 24 €/month

You can apply for a reduced membership fee if:

you work part time
your working time is up to 60% of full-time employment

Freelancer, professional or entrepreneur

Membership fee: 18 €/month

Minimum membership fee

Membership fee: 10 €/month

You can pay the minimum membership fee if you are not in paid employment and not on unemployment benefit.

This applies, for example, to situations where you are:

on family leave
with a grant
on unpaid sick leave
with rehabilitation support
with support from family care
with adult education support
Unemployed or laid off in receipt of Kela's benefit

Attention:
If the employer pays pay for the first three months of maternity leave, there is a normal membership fee for those months.

Be sure to update your membership details to receive a reduced membership fee.

If you receive compensation as part of severance package, you pay the employee's membership fee for the period of the severance package.

Pensioner

Akavan Seniors belonging to Special Sectors: 10 €/month
Skilla Unorganized Retirement Member: 55 €/year

An unorganized retirement member receives Skila's own membership benefits and may participate in events, but does not receive Akava Special Areas services.

Non-Organized Member

you can attend trainings, events and company visits organised by Skilla
you do not belong to Akava's Special Areas
you do not belong to the unemployment fund Erko
you do not receive career coaching or personal salary advice

Membership fee: 85 €/year (approx. 7,08 €/month)

As a non-organized member, you can join from here.

Be sure to keep documents, salary receipts, work certificates and any hour lists. You'll need them if you have to deal with the unemployment fund.

Student Membership

Two types of membership are offered to students:

Student Pro Membership (includes unemployment fund)
Student Basic Membership (does not include the unemployment fund)

Degree students registered as present are eligible for both memberships.

Both memberships include monetary membership benefits for the Skila and Akava Specialties.

Student Basic Membership

Become a member

Did you know that as a member of Skilla you also belong to the Erko and Akava Special Sectors in the unemployment fund

As an employee member of Akava Special Areas, your unemployment benefit has been provided through Erko in the Special Trained Unemployment Fund. You can receive earnings-linked unemployment allowance, mobility allowance and shift allowance. The membership fee of the treasury is included in the membership fee of the union.

Skilla members belong to the trade union Akava Special Industries (AE). Akava Special Areas is responsible for providing legal advice to members and other membership matters, such as membership fees and updates to membership information. Akava Special Industries also offers trainings and career services as well as other member benefits.

By joining us, you are involved in supporting elderly work and nature conservation in Finland. Akava Special Industries donates a euro for each new member to charity. The amount accumulated during the year will be divided equally between Helsinki Mission and the Finnish Union for Conservation of Nature.
